Requirements:
- Masters in Computer Science, PhD preferred
- 2+ years non-academic software development experience
- Solid knowledge and experience in information retrieval
and/or data mining technologies
- Solid knowledge of Java and J2EE technologies
Individuals who fill this role will have the opportunity to
work on a wide variety of search-engine-related technologies.
- Information retrieval algorithms for relevance ranking.
Develop metrics for measuring relevancy and implement benchmarks.
Research, develop, and test new algorithms for discovering a user’s
intent.
- Computational linguistics. Research and develop new ways
of understanding the structure of text, and how it can improve search
results.
- Data mining, machine learning, and recommender systems.
Develop new ways to exploit the data available in logs and e-commerce
system, use it to understand user behavior, and develop new methods of
suggesting items of interest.
- Spell correction. Research, measure and develop new
algorithms for correcting user spelling errors.
- Content analysis. Understand the structure of documents
and data, and develop lexers, tokenizers, and analyzers for exploiting it.
- Classification/categorization. Develop software for classifying
documents and data and for performing entity extraction.
- Distributed search/distributed algorithms. Develop and
implement ways of distributing the computational load when processing very
large databases (VLDB).
- Faceted navigation. Develop user interfaces to improve the
search experience by exploiting the structure inherent in data items.
Successful candidates will have experience in more than one,
and ideally several, of the areas above.
Software Engineer / Professional Services
Individuals who fill this role will implement Dieselpoint
solutions for a variety of customer applications. Customers are currently using
Dieselpoint for document search, product catalogs, site search, and OEM apps.
Requirements:
- Computer Science degree
- 5+ years software development experience
- Experience supporting and implementing enterprise
applications for customers
- Excellent communication skills, comfort in dealing with
clients
- Solid knowledge of Java and J2EE technologies
Successful candidates will meet all of the requirements
above, and will have some experience implementing search solutions.
Director, Business Development
This position is responsible for forming strategic
relationships with business partners, promoting Dieselpoint solutions, and
helping form a strategic vision for the company in the search marketplace.
- Develop relationships with technology partners
- Develop OEM relationships
- Develop partnerships with systems integrators and
resellers
Requirements:
- Must have performed in a similar role at another technology
company at a senior level
- Must have a technical background. A CS degree and some
experience implementing enterprise software is required.
- Background in the search industry is a strong plus
Inside and Outside Sales Representatives
Dieselpoint is hiring both inside and outside sales
representatives.
Requirements:
- Must have specific experience selling enterprise software
solutions.
- Must have a technical background. A CS degree or
equivalent is required.
- Must be able to consult with client and understand the client’s
business and technical needs at a high level of detail.
- Must be highly motivated, driven to succeed
- Background in the search industry is a strong plus
Compensation includes base plus incentives.
